We took an afternoon flight from Washington to Anchorage, via Dallas, and landed in Anchorage at 7pm. Because it was summer time, we would have sunlight through the night, and it never really gets dark. The flight was uneventful, and we checked into a local B&B in Anchorage, close to the downtown area (P.S. Use this link to get a discount on the booking fee!). Traveling with a baby, I prefer to have a kitchen so that I can make food and heat milk for her, and wash her bottles in large sink instead of a hotel bathroom. AirBnB has worked out great in that regard. We got take out food from a Nepalese restaurant in Anchorage, and settled in for the night.
