Argentina: Day 2: One Day in Buenos Aires

We had one full day in Buenos Aires, before we headed out to Iguazu.  Unfortunately, it was a rainy day, which limited the attractions we could visit.  We first took a taxi to the San Telmo Antiques market, as recommended by the Rough Guide to Argentina Travel Guide Book.

Every Sunday, the indoor market of San Telmo hosts the antiques market, which displays all sorts of artwork, trinkets, and oddities.  While it made for good photos, the kids we were traveling with got bored quickly.

After spending some time in the market, we were ready for lunch.  We headed to La Areperia, which had gluten free and veggie options. I was excited to try some Arepas (savory pancakes) here, but they were dry and not great.  The best thing here were the banana chips.

We were still tired from our flight yesterday, so we decided to relax for the rest of the day in our apartment, and catch up.  Tomorrow, we head to Iguazu falls (or so we thought…)!
